review You Believers Ø eBook or Kindle ePUB You Believers is a powerful cathartic story of casual evil and of how the worst things can be faced so that we might not only survive but grow A young woman goes missing and her mother uproots her life to find her daughter But it is not just the heartbreak or the deep mystery of the hunt for lost loved ones that Bradley so c. Really a mixed bag The good stuff great character development and insight into the minds of two criminals a page turner gritty and intense crime scenes not for the sueamish from both the criminal s and victim s point of view the mystery is well paced and unfolds with just the right amount of suspense and clues As you learn bits and pieces of the criminals activities but don t yet know what happened you believe for a while because you want to need to believe that the victim escaped but you have a dread that it will end badly But there are lots of things wrong with this book A theme of godliness drove me nuts The story opens with way too many references to God I don t like religious books I hoped it would not be an ongoing theme and for a while it was not Then came a long plodding chapter about a minor character sitting in a church asking himself sophomoric uestions about God I skipped most of that chapter The writer was shoving religion down my throat and I resented it Also the author ruins a poignant interview of a survivor by throwing in woo woo stuff the victim apparently was channeling another victim please stopThe good characters were all one dimensional vanilla The mother and daughter had the same personality toughie yet god fearing and uninteresting southern chicks and the woman investigating the crime was similar except she didn t buy into the god stuff The characters weren t hip or interesting enough The only interesting characters were the two criminals and the grandmother of one of themAs another reviewer said the book should have been a hundred pages shorter The author droned on about the same sentiments over and over and we were subjected to a barrage of the characters words and thoughts about sadness The endless angst which seemed shallow and predictable it wasn t even presented in engaging language plus the preachy tone dulled the book s impact Eduardo Aronica Brooklyn Gambino Soldier right amount of suspense and clues As you learn bits and pieces of the criminals activities but don t yet know what happened you believe for a while because you want to need to believe that the victim escaped but you have a dread that it will end badly But there are lots of things wrong with this book A theme of godliness drove me nuts The story opens with way too many De Munich à la Libération. 1938-1944 references to God I don t like Essays Biographical Critical and Historical IIlustrative of the Rambler Adventurer Idler and of the Various Periodical Papers Volume 1 religious books I hoped it would not be an ongoing theme and for a while it was not Then came a long plodding chapter about a minor character sitting in a church asking himself sophomoric uestions about God I skipped most of that chapter The writer was shoving Captain Action Riddle of the Glowing Men religion down my throat and I Unbridled Unlikely Lovers #1 resented it Also the author Romancing the Werewolf ruins a poignant interview of a survivor by throwing in woo woo stuff the victim apparently was channeling another victim please stopThe good characters were all one dimensional vanilla The mother and daughter had the same personality toughie yet god fearing and uninteresting southern chicks and the woman investigating the crime was similar except she didn t buy into the god stuff The characters weren t hip or interesting enough The only interesting characters were the two criminals and the grandmother of one of themAs another How to Do What You Love & Earn What You’re Worth as a Programmer reviewer said the book should have been a hundred pages shorter The author droned on about the same sentiments over and over and we were subjected to a barrage of the characters words and thoughts about sadness The endless angst which seemed shallow and predictable it wasn t even presented in engaging language plus the preachy tone dulled the book s impact

review You Believers Ø eBook or Kindle ePUB Onvincingly explores Rather with the help of an amazingly dedicated searcher family and friends somehow learn to move past unspeakable horror and celebrate the tenacity of the human spirit Offering a vision that is at once ruthless and utterly compassionate Bradley renders the search for logic meaning redemption and even hop. I found this to be a hear wrenching book The thoguth of any child going missing is horrible Granted this child was a 30 year old woman but it s uick to forget that there is a mother out there worried for herWe read this story from a couple different voices Livy the mother of the missing woman Billy the fiancee and Shelby the missing person tracker Shelby s voice is the most personal and I was able read her point of view from a first person perspective I grew to like her and understand how she was able to do her job The character of Livy was well written as the grieving mother I was able to go on this hunt for the killer through her eyes and feel the sadness and anger she felt lead after lead Bill wasn t given as much play but I did find the church scene to be uite emotional and enlightning to himThis is a very sad but real look as to what goes on to friends and families as they search for the missing The incident with the young girl at Land Falls is also unfortunately how other crimes get solved Here we had a young girl who was brutally beat and raped but through her strength she managed to get the boy talking and was able to escape with information about the missing girl Everything worked in this book I felt as if I was right there with her trying to give her the power and courage to continue fighting and survivingI would like to see this book be part of a series Shelby is uite a strong character and it would be great to watch her solve new cases
