book was like one I read before but it was notAnnie is transferred to a new high school with her best friend Julian One day Annie bumps into Ryan Ryan is the guy every girl in school wants and he knows it but Annie has heard the rumors how he loves and leaves the girls and she wants nothing to do with him Ryan is persistent and slowly Annie starts to give in to Ryan Ryan is the star pitcher for the boys high school and Annie is the star pitcher for the girls softball team From there the story begins Major spoilers below I say specifically what did not work for me This is my opinion and the way I perceived it You may feel 100% differently view spoilerI just did not have faith in the hero from the beginning and he proved me right This story left a bad taste in my mouth He was already dating the heroine when he told her he was just taking this other girl Katie to prom because his mom asked him and that he made the promise before Annie and he were together I think he also said he did not want to go but had to He said Katie the other girl and he were nothing Well a few chapters later Ryan tells Annie that Katie is pregnant and the child was conceived on prom night Ryan was telling Annie the entire time that he would never hurt her He told her this before he went to prom with Katie but later he said he had sex with this other girl To me that is cheating Ryan never claimed to be drunk or drugged He just said he wore a condom and was not sure what happened I don t remember anything about sorry for cheating or Annie being mad She was just understanding like always 85% Maybe this was karma with the way Annie broke up with her boyfriend That was done in bad taste I have other books where there was cheating and not that it was okay but because of the situation and how I knew the characters felt for each other I was able to still stay connected to the story and them In this book I disconnected immediately but maybe that was also because I was really never fully connected There was always that snake feeling about Ryan I love bad boysman whores stories that change their ways but Ryan just felt too slimy from the beginning I wanted something like the story AFTER that I read awhile ago but this was not it All of this felt wrong Also there are too many names These kids call their friends parents by their first name so it was too hard to remember who was
